Esther Was Always Davening

As Esther approached the threshold of the king’s house, the direct entrance to the throne room, the Megillah says: ותעמד בחצר בית המלך הפנימית נכח בית המלך – “She stood in the inner court of the king’s palace immediately opposite [facing] the [entrance to] the king’s house” (Esther 5:1)

The gematria of the word ותעמד, “and she stood”, equals the gematria of בתפלה, “in prayer”, hinting that in her time of greatest danger, she “stood in prayer”, keeping her focus on Hashem, the only One who could truly bring her salvation. (Rokeach)
