And you shall eat it in haste (12:11)

Why did the Jews have to eat the Passover offering in haste, giving the impression that they had to escape quickly? Pharaoh had already agreed to let them go, so they could have taken more time to pack and depart at a more leisurely pace. The answer is that when redemption comes and G-d reveals Himself, we will not be so hard pressed for time. The haste was to teach us that redemption can come suddenly, and we must always be ready.
